Jaakko Nikko - Bass/ Roo Chapus - Guitars / Juke Eräkangas - Drums

Roo (band) is a Finnish instrumental rock trio from Helsinki founded by French native guitarist Roo Chapus
after the release of his debut solo album "Guitar Without a Cause"(2008).
The band delivers sparkling instrumental rock, influenced from aggressive metal to southern bluesy rock
with a bit of funk and fusion. Not bounded by the trends of predictable rock neither guitar nerd music, Roo's
music is a journey in a diversity of tones, melodies and catchy riffs carried by groove, energy and humor.
The trio is well-balanced with, on the drums, the experienced Juke Eräkangas who evolves from modern
jazz styles to heavy rock. Easy as well with electronic drums, his touché and creativity brings Roo's guitar
fest breath and structure.
6 strings bass player Jaakko Nikko, also member of the Progressive Metal band Reversion is the loud
asset. Complete musician, who has released several albums and performed numerous gigs, he is also an
important element of Roo's stage presence.
The band, endorsed by Sound Shop Helsinki, regularly perform in Helsinki capital area and heads soon to
recording studio for Roo's 2nd album.
Carried by Indie label Mad Guitar Records and a growing fans base, Roo took part, in solo, of several
records, including top sellers guitar compilations Melodic Soloists and Guitar Addiction (feat. Brett Garsed,
Bumblefoot, Stu Hamm, Atma Anur... )
